DOYLESTOWN, PA (April 24, 2021)- Softball traveled to Delaware Valley University on Saturday afternoon for game 3 of their first round MAC Freedom playoff action. After a hard fought series, the Devils fell 5-3.

senior Taylor Tobey singled and junior Colleen Conway reached on a fielder's choice, each scoring a run and giving the Devils a 2-1 lead after three. Del Val responded immediately in the fourth with a run to tie the game.. 

The game was tied 2-2 headed into the fourth inning, when the Aggies struck. Del Val scored three runs in the top of the fifth for  a 5-2 lead. FDU worked to respond, adding a run in the bottom of the frame, with first year Abigail Wittig scoring on a throw from the catcher to second base. That was all the Devils could scratch across as the Aggies held on for the playoff victory.

Notes
Tobey, Conway, senior Dani Sames and first year Kristen Tigar each recorded a hit. Junior Morgan DeLoreto led the way finishing with two hits and a run scored. 

This concludes the 2021 season for the Devils.
