MADISON, NJ (April 1, 2021)- FDU Softball hosted King's College in a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon, falling in both games, 6-2 and 9-2.

The Devils collected 11 hits in game one, with eight different players recording a hit. First-year

Nicole Casale and Scarengelli led the way for the FDU offense, each collecting two hits apiece. King's scored three in the first, one in the sixth and two in the seventh for their six runs, while the Devils scored both of their runs in the third inning, thanks to an RBI single from first-year
Kristen Tigar and a wild pitch scoring Centineo. The starter for the Monarchs went the distance, collecting the 6-2 victory.

The bats stayed alive for FDU in the second game, cracking another eight hits for 19 total on the day. Again, eight different Devils recorded a hit, with Centineo leading the way for the second straight with two. King's scored four runs in top of the first inning, one in the fifth and four in the sixth to complete their nine. The Devils struck in the bottom of the fifth off the bat of Centineo with an RBI single. They scored another in the sixth off an unearned run to complete their scoring.
