Center Valley, Pa. (October 9) – The FDU-Florham men's cross country team got a preview of the course where the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship will be held as the Devils competed at the DeSales University Invitational this afternoon.
The Devils did not produce a team score as only four student-athletes competed in today's meet. The host Bulldogs, ranked fifth in the Metro Region coaches poll, and Messiah, ranked fourth in the Mid-Atlantic Region coaches poll, finished first and second, respectively, in the 8k race. FDU will see both DeSales and Messiah once again at the MAC Championship meet scheduled for October 30.
Sophomore
Louis Torres (Wenonah, NJ) paced FDU with a 169th place finish with a time of 36:31.0, while graduate student
Dakota Carfello (Pequannock, NJ) crossed the line 173rd with a time of 38:21.7. In 184th place was senior
Tyler Moreira (Clark, NJ) with a time of 45:42.6 and senior
Tim Raff (Jackson, NJ) finished 186th with a time of 47:02.4.
The Devils will host crosstown rivals Drew University and Saint Elizabeth on Tuesday, October 12 for a tri-meet in the Battle of Madison Avenue.
