Center Valley, Pa. (October 30) – The FDU-Florham men's cross country team competed at the 2021 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship this afternoon on the campus of DeSales University. The Devils did not produce a team score, but had three student-athletes cross the finish line in today's conference meet.
In the team standings, Messiah University won the title with 57 points and was followed by host DeSales University (61) and York College (Pa.) (101).
Graduate student
Dakota Carfello (Pequannock, NJ) finished 136th overall with a time of 40:10.0, while seniors
Tim Raff (Jackson, NJ) and
Tyler Moreira (Clark, NJ) finished 140th and 141st, respectively. Raff clocked a time of 42:02.9, while Moreira posted a time of 49.35.7.
"The men's team took to the trails with the hopes of maintaining the speed we have been incorporating in the latter half of the season," said FDU-Florham cross country head coach
John Cahill. "Battling with injuries the men finished through the meet and showcased their willpower."
FDU men's cross country will return to the course next weekend for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship meet. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, November 6 in Milton, New York at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome.
