MADISON, N.J. (September 17, 2019) – Junior
Sean Provost shot a 79 as the FDU men's golf team downed Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom foes King's College and Wilkes University Tuesday.
The Devils shot a 332, two shots better than King's while Wilkes shot a 378. The event was held at Wyoming Valley Country Club in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and was a par-70.
Provost finished second overall, just three shots off of the first-place score. The junior, who was competing in only his second collegiate event, took six strokes off his collegiate debut. Provost recorded a birdie on the par-5 12th hole. Seniors
Thomas Apostolico and
Thomas Cashin finished in a four-way tie for third place carding an 82.
Sophomores
Ben Tetzlaff and
Theodore Nam closed out the scoring for the Devils quintet. Tetzlaff notched an 89, while Nam carded a 90. Nam was the biggest Devils improver from his last round, as he shaved nine shots off his previous score.
