MADISON, N.J. (May 16, 2019) – Senior Brendan Demitus of the FDU-Florham men's golf team was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District which was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America Thursday.

It is the second straight season that Demitus was selected Academic All-District by CoSIDA. He boasts a 3.96 GPA as a Biology/Pre-Pharmacy major.

Demitus placed 14th at the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Championship this spring, shooting a 165 over the two rounds. During the tournament, he played his best golf down the stretch, shooting one under over the final four holes. In the fall against William Paterson University, Demitus tallied a team-low 81 which was good for third place.

He closed out his career with a pair of Second Team All-MAC Freedom honors and was tabbed to the Academic All-MAC team in each of the last two seasons. By virtue of his All-District selection, Demitus is now eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-American team which is announced in June
