DALLAS, Pa. (April 13, 2018) - The FDU women's golf team cruised past Misericordia 2-1-1 and Manhattanville 3-1 in a tri-match Friday afternoon.
The Devils, who evened their match record at 2-2, notched a victory over Misericordia for the first time since April 14, 2016. FDU had not beaten Manhattanville in almost five years, with the last win coming on April 17, 2013.
Junior
Brooke Sherwin split her matches, falling to Misericordia's Alexis Wyandt 3 and 2. Sherwin rebounded with a 1 and 0 win over Nicole Krause of Manhattanville. Freshman
Sarah Chelo battled to draw with her Misericordia opponent. The rookie fell to her Manhattanville opponent 9 & 8.
Senior
Lauren Geiger and junior
Samantha Rubin both went 2-0 on the afternoon. Geiger topped Kate Varallo of Misericordia 8 & 7 before winning 1 & 0 over Alexa Chisolm of Manhattanville. Rubin notched 5 & 4 victories over Lara May of Misericordia and Monica Lopez of Manhattanville.
The Devils will take part in the Arcadia Invitational Monday afternoon.
