MADISON, N.J. – Behind five goals from MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year Brienna Reasoner and eight points from All-MAC Freedom First Team selection Joelle Manganella, the Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham women's lacrosse team cruised past King's College 14-4 on Wednesday to advance to the MAC Freedom Championship Game.

The top-seeded Devils (12-6) will host No. 2 Misericordia University this Saturday, May 7 at 1 p.m. for the conference championship. The Cougars (10-7) topped Wilkes University 17-5 in Wednesday's other semifinal.

Saturday's final marks a rematch of last season's title game in which the Devils won 19-8 and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament. In the lone matchup between the team's this season, the Devils came away with a 7-5 victory.

In Wednesday's win, senior Brianna Capobinaco, who was named MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year on Tuesday, notched her 100th career goal and joined teammates Reasoner and Joelle Manganella in the exclusive club. Capobianco finished with two goals on the night, which increased her season total to 34.

In addition to her five-goal performance, Reasoner further reinforced her defensive player of the year title by causing a career-high seven turnovers to go along with seven groundballs in the win.

Manganella piled up her game-high eight points by netting a hat trick and dishing out a career-high five assists.

After Reasoner opened the scoring at the 27:15 mark off of a feed from Manganella, the Monarchs responded with the game's next two goals courtesy of strikes by Gabriella Morrocu and Anastasia Araviakis.

However, the lead was short-lived as Manganella recorded back-to-back goals en route to 7-0 run for the Devils that resulted in an 8-2 halftime lead.

Reasoner scored four of her game-high five goals in the first stanza, while Capobianco scored one and freshman Caitlyn Damon added another.

FDU-Florham solidified its position by burying the first three goals of the second half. Cassidy Vastano opened the scoring and then Manganella and Samantha Holleritter each chipped in with one.

With her three-goal performance, Manganella increased her team-leading total to 39 on the campaign.

Leading 11-2, the Devils maintained control for the remainder of the contest on their way to the 10-goal victory.

In total, the Devils outshot the Monarchs 42-15 and forced 35 turnovers on the night.
