FULL RESULTS
SCRANTON, Pa. -- The FDU-Florham men's and women's swim teams competed in a tri-meet on Saturday at Unviersity of Scranton. The Devils women's team was defeated by Cabrini College 78-34 before and topped by the host Royals 104-15. On the men's side the Devils were knocked off by the Cavaliers 85-27 before falling to the Royals 98-22.
The Devils earned a pair of second-place finishes as freshman
Sarah Bennett (Vineland, N.J.) posted a time of 1:06.35 in the 100-yard butterfly on the women's side, while men's freshman swimmer
Connor Zero (Red Bank, N.J.) clocked in second at 1:00.15 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Later in the day, Zero and Bennett both recorded third-place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle events. In the 50-free Zero posted a 23.69 and Bennett finished with a 27.71
Junior
Alexandra Duarte (Bayville, N.J.) swam well and registered third in the 200-yard backstroke by clocking in at 2:36.33.
The Devils men's 200-yard freestyle team of Zero,
Andrew Caola (Bridgewater, N.J.),
David Nadler (Randolph, N.J.) and
Jurgen Troka (Elizabeth, N.J.) recorded a second place finish in the men's 200-yard freestyle event with a time of 1:38.08. The foursome finished the Cavaliers, who clocked in at 1:36.13 in the event.
The host Royals earned victories over the Devils and Cavaliers to claim the tri-meet.
