Box Score MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham Devils women's soccer team was in excellent form on Saturday evening at Robert T. Shields Field, blanking Freedom Conference rival Delaware Valley College 5-0 to improve to 8-8 on the season (2-2 MAC).
The Devils were in control from the outset but were only able to manage one first half goal, despite holding a 7-2 shot advantage in the opening stanza. In the second half, the Devils offense broke out, tallying four goals en route to the victory.
Five different Devils found the back of the net in the win, which was aided by an outstanding effort from the FDU defense.
Junior midfielder

Samantha Messina (Landing, N.J./Roxbury) at the 16:08 mark for the Devils first goal of the game. Overland's goal was her first of the 2013 campaign.

Michelle Hickey (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Township) got in on the action, when she slid in a shot off of Messina's second assist of the evening, providing the Devils with a 3-0 advantage.
Insurance goals were added by Messina and team-scoring leader
Claire Donohue (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Regional), resulting in the 5-0 final.
The Devils defense held the Aggies down all evening, which resulted in a quiet game for freshman goalkeeper
