Box Score MADISON, NJ - Trailing 2-0 at halftime, William Paterson erupted for three goals in the second half to earn a 3-2 victory over the College at Florham Devils in non-conference action Monday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 1-8.
The Devils tallied both of their goals in a two minute span late in the first half on beautiful plays. First, junior midfielder
Michelle Hickey booted home a great cross from junior foward
Claire Donohue at the 37:24 mark. FDU then made it 2-0 when sophomore forward
Kim Overland headed in a pass from junior midfielder
Jennifer DiGioia after DiGioia went on a long run down the right sideline and crossed it back into the middle of the field. The Pioneers cut it to 2-1 13:24 into the second stanza and tied the game at 2-2 ten minutes later. William Paterson notched the game-winner with 18:56 left in the game. FDU had a few chances down the stretch to tie the game but couldn't find the back of the net.
