Box Score MADISON, NJ - Down 3-0 heading into halftime, the College at Florham Devils responded with two goals in the second half and had a few chances to tie the game down the stretch but Widener held on for a 3-2 victory in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 1-7.

Junior midfielder Karen Thomas scored all three goals for the Pride in the first half.  She tallied the first at the 26:06 mark, the second in the 38th minute, and the third just 0:22 before intermission.  FDU got on the board at the 65:15 mark when junior forward Claire Donohue converted a feed from junior defender Colleen Furbeck.  The Devils trimmed their deficit to 3-2 with 17:46 left in the contest when sophomore midfielder Kim Overland knocked home a pass from sophomore defender Claudia Falconieri off of a corner kick.  The Devils held a 10-2 advantage in shots in the second half and got a few good looks down the stretch but could not find the back of the net as Widener held on for the win.

Freshman goalkeeper Anna Bandly suffered the loss, making six saves.

The Devils return to action on Monday, September 24, 2012, at home against William Paterson beginning at 4 pm.
