Box Score MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Rutgers-Camden, 2-1 (2OT), in their 2012 season opener on Saturday afternoon. The contest was the first of the 2012 FDU Classic and in the second game, Oswego State knocked off St. Joseph's (L.I.) by a score of 3-2.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 0-1.
Camden got on the board just 9:49 into the contest and held that lead for the rest of the first half. FDU tied it at 1-1 when junior midfielder

Nicole Kauffman in the 63rd minute. Even though the Devils had their chances down the stretch, the game remained tied through the rest of the second half and throughout the first overtime. The Scarlet Raptors notched the game-winner with just 0:25 second gone by in the second overtime to earn the hard-fought win.
The Devils actually dominated the game statistically, holding a 24-10 edge in shots and an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks but it was Camden who found the back of the net twice. Freshman goalkeeper

The Devils return to action on Sunday, September 2, 2012, for the second and final day of the FDU Classic against Oswego State beginning at 11 am.
