MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Kean, 2-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 1-2.

Kean jumped out to a 1-0 lead with 17:27 gone by in the first half and held that lead throughout the remainder of the first half, though the Devils did have a few scoring chances.  The Cougars added to their lead at the 51:30 mark and FDU again had some chances to chip away at the deficit but the Kean defense stood strong to pick up the shutout win.  The Devils actually held a 10-9 advantage in shots and a 4-0 edge in corner kicks but could not find the back of the net.

Senior goalkeeper Melanie Pierson suffered the loss, making four saves.

The Devils return to action on Friday, September 9, 2011, at the Catholic Tournament against Catholic beginning at 7 pm.
