MAPETH, NY - The College at Florham Devils picked up their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, beating John Jay by a score of 2-0.

With the win, the Devils improved to 1-1.

The Devils started the scoring quickly as junior midfielder Ashley Vieira gave FDU a 1-0 lead just 1:56 into the game.  FDU made it 2-0 at the 11:01 mark when sophomore forward Claire Donohue converted a pass from senior midfielder Jenna Campfield.  The Devils dominated the game statistically, holding a 30-8 edge in shots and a 13-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Freshman goalkeeper Julia Perry made her first collegiate start and picked up a shutout, making four saves.

The Devils return to action on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at home against Kean beginning at 7 pm.
