MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Widener, 1-0, in double overtime on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 4-7 on the season.
The two squads played almost completely even throughout regulation and the first overtime. Each team had seven shots in the first half, FDU held a 4-3 advantage in shots in the second half, and the Devils had a 1-0 edge in shots in the first overtime. With 3:33 gone by in the second overtime, Widener found the back of the net on a header off of a corner kick to earn the win.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 1, 2011, with their Freedom Conference opener at home against Delaware Valley beginning at 11 am.
