READING, PA - The College at Florham Devils snapped a five-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Alvernia in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.

With the win, the Devils improved to 2-6 on the season.

The Devils scored both of their goals in the first half as freshman forward Kim Overland got things started at the 30:14 mark before sophomore forward Michelle Hickey made it 2-0 with only 2:40 left before intermission.  The Crusaders got on the board with 11:27 left in the contest but the FDU defense was able to stand tall for the remainder of the game to earn the victory.

Senior goalkeeper Lauren Albrecht picked up the win, making six saves.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at home against Lycoming beginning at 2:30 pm.
