MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by New York University, 4-0, in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 1-6.

NYU started the scoring 10:12 into the contest but the Devils held strong until there was only 0:44 left in the first half when the Violets made it 2-0.  NYU then made it 3-0 at the 60:08 mark before adding their final goal with 5:25 left in the contest.

Senior goalkeeper Melanie Pierson suffered the loss, making four saves.

The Devils return to action on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Alvernia beginning at 7 pm.
