MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils knocked off Delaware Valley, 2-1, in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 5-7 (1-0 Freedom) while the Aggies dropped to 3-4-2 (0-1 Freedom).
Sophomore forward
Claire Donohue started the scoring at the 27:17 before FDU took a 2-0 lead in the 71st minute as freshman forward
Kim Overland converted a pass from senior midfielder
Kim Campfield. The Aggies tried to sneak back in the game by notching a goal with 5:21 left in the contest but the FDU defense stood tall the rest of the way to secure the win.
Senior goalkeeper
Lauren Albrecht picked up the win, making five saves.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Rutgers-Newark beginning at 7 pm.
