MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by #23 Widener, 1-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 5-4-1 on the season.

The two teams battled back-and-forth for the first half and for the first half of the second stanza until the Pride got on the board at the 74:22 mark off a cross in the box.  The Devils had a few opportunities late in the contest to tie the game up but could not convert.

Junior goalkeeper Melanie Pierson (Brookside, NJ/Mendham) suffered the loss, making seven saves.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 2, 2010, with their Freedom Conference opener at King's beginning at 5 pm.
