Devils Blank St. Joseph's (L.I.), 4-0, In ECAC Quarters

MADISON, NJ - The third-seeded College at Florham Devils beat sixth-seeded St. Joseph's (L.I.), 4-0, in the Quarterfinals of the ECAC Metro/Upstate Tournament on Wednesday eveing.  Senior forward Lora Fink led the way for the Devils with two goals and two assists.

With the win, the Devils improved to 15-6-2 and set the single-season school record for wins buy surpassing the 2006 team that won 14 games.  The loss dropped the Golden Eagles to 13-8-1.

After a scoreless first half, senior forward Brittany Kanickij started the scoring by knocking in a pass from Fink at the 56:34 mark.  Fink then made it 2-0 when she found the back of the net off a feed from freshman forward Claire Donohue just four minutes later.  Fink then notched her second of the game, off another pass from Donohue, to give FDU a 3-0 edge at the 65:44 mark.  Junior forward Meaghan Reilly finished off the scoring when she converted off a feed from Fink with 16:09 left in the game.

Junior goalkeeper Melanie Pierson picked up the win, making three saves.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, November 13, 2010, in the Semifinals of the ECAC Tournament when #3 FDU takes on second-seeded and cross-town rival, Drew.  The game will be played at Richard Stockton beginning at a time to be announced.
