CAMDEN, NJ - The College at Florham Devils picked up a 1-0 win over Rutgers-Camden on Monday evening in non-conference action in a game that was played during a steady rainfall.
With the win, the Devils improved to 7-4-1 on the season.
After the two squads played an even first 45:00, the Devils picked up the lone goal of the contest just 6:16 into the second half when senior forward
Lora Fink (Hamilton Square, NJ/Pennington Prep) found the back of the net after a Rutgers-Camden handball. With under ten minutes left in the game, junior goalkeeper
Lauren Albrecht (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) preserved the win and the shutout with an outstanding save to keep the Devils on top. FDU led the Scarlet Raptors in shots (14-7) and corner kicks (10-3).
Albrecht finished the game with three saves.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at home against Rutgers-Newark beginning at 7 pm.
