WILKES-BARRE, PA - Senior forward
Brittany Kanickij (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) scored three goals and added an assist to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 7-0 win over King's in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams on Saturday evening.
With the win, the Devils improved to 6-4-1 (1-0 Freedom) while the Monarchs dropped to 1-10 (0-1 Freedom).
Kanickij got the Devils on the board 17:46 into the contest when she converted a pass from senior forward
Lora Fink (Hamilton Square, NJ/Pennington Prep). She then assisted on a goal by junior midfielder
Meaghan Reilly (Cinnaminson, NJ/Holy Cross) to make it 2-0 just 5:00 later before scoring unassisted to make it 3-0 at the 31:12 mark. The Devils grabbed a 4-0 lead ten minutes before halftime when freshman
Michelle Monte (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) scored off a feed from freshman midfielder
Samantha Messina (Landing, NJ/Roxbury). Kanickij, junior midfielder
Jenna Campfield (Farmingdale, NJ/Colts Neck), and freshman midfielder
Michelle Hickey (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.) all scored for FDU in the second half.

The Devils return to action on Monday, October 4, 2010, at Rutgers-Camden beginning at 7 pm.
