CHESTER, PA - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Widener, 2-1, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 4-5-1.

Brittany Kanickij (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) converted a pass from freshman midfielder
Ashley Vieira (Red Bank, NJ/Red Bank Regional) just 3:09 into the game. The Devils held that lead throughout the first half and for the majority of the second half when Widener tied it at 1-1 in the 75th minute. The Pride then scored the game winner with only 0:13 left in regulation.

Melanie Pierson (Brookside, NJ/Mendham) started and played the first half, allowing no goals and making two saves. Sophomore goalkeeper
Lauren Albrecht (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) played the second half, allowing two goals and making four saves.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 3, 2009, with their conference opener at Wilkes beginning at 2:30 pm.
