CENTER VALLEY, PA - Junior forward
Brittany Kanickij (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) scored the first three goals of the game to help the College at Florham Devils to a 5-1 win over DeSales in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 5-8-2 (1-2-1 Freedom) while the Bulldogs dropped to 6-7-1 (2-1-1 Freedom).
Kanickij started the scoring just 1:36 into the game when she scored off a pass from junior forward
Lora Fink (Hamilton Square, NJ/Pennington Prep). Kanickij made it 2-0 at the 12:50 mark and then 3-0 just 2:35 later, again off a pass from Fink. With 7:17 left before halftime, Kanickij fed sophomore midfielder
Jenna Campfield (Farmingdale, NJ/Colts Neck) to give the Devils a 4-0 lead. Fink picked up her third assist of the game when sophomore midfielder
Kim Campfield (Farmingdale, NJ/Colts Neck) scored just 8:58 into the second half. The Bulldogs finally got on the board with 2:13 left in the game but it was too little too late as the Devils earned their fist conference win of the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Lauren Albrecht (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) picked up the win, making five saves in net.
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at home against Delaware Valley beginning at 7 pm.
