Each week former FDU-Florham men's basketball standout and current Sports Information Intern John Flete will select a student-athlete as the featured Devil of the Week. John's interview this week is with volleyball sophomore setter Codi Inloes-Williams

John: How did you become interested in volleyball?
Codi: My mom got me interested. She played in college so in the 6th grade I started playing.

J: What do you believe are your key strengths in volleyball?
C: My key strength would have to be leadership, and setting my teammates up.

J: What is the most assists you had in a game?
C: The most I had was 40 assists.

J:  How long have you been playing volleyball?
C: I’ve been playing for nine years.

J: What is your favorite type of set? (ie. “4”, 2” “shoot”)
C: My favorite set to make is a one-ball to a middle hitter

J: What is the best thing about volleyball?
C: The best part is being with my teammates and working together as a team.

J:  Describe the teamwork that is needed in volleyball.
C: We all have to depend on each other whether we are playing good or bad.

J:  What is your preferred brand of sneakers to play in?
C: My favorite brand to play in is Mizuno.

J: Is there anything you do the night before a game?
C: I make sure to go to sleep early.

J:  Do you have any pregame ritual?
C: I have to chew gum.

J:  How important is winning the game to you?
C: I believe is important to win when we are better than the opponent, and if not it is important to play our best.

J:  Going into a game are you more excited or nervous?
C: I would say a little bit of both

C: Peyton Manning is my favorite athlete.

C: I would have to say pasta.

C: Favorite movie is Interstellar, and all the Harry Potter movies.

J: What is your favorite TV show?
C: Favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy.

J:  What is your favorite pregame music?
C: Whatever my team chooses for warm-up.

J:  Who is your favorite actor/actress?
C: Favorite actor is Matthew McConaughey.

J:  What is your favorite vacation that you been on?
C: The time I went to Mexico.

J: If you could visit one country which country would it be and why?
C: It would have to be China because I love pandas.

J: What is your favorite book?
C: Harry Potter.

J:  What is your something that bother you the most, your "pet peeve"?
C: Bad drivers bother me the most.

J: What do you do in your free time?
C: I study, work, watch a lot of TV, and I also will beat anybody in FIFA.

J:  If you won the lottery what is the first thing you would buy?
C: A panda or a house in Washington DC.
