Each week former FDU-Florham men's basketball standout and current Sports Information Intern John Flete will select a student-athlete as the featured Devil of the Week. John's interview this week is with Devils men's tennis sophomore Max Moscowitz.

John: How did you become interested in tennis?
Max: My family got me into it when I was eight years old. After I hit the first tennis ball I knew I loved the game. 

J: What do you believe are your key strength?
M: I would have to say my mental game. I never go into a match thinking I am going to lose, and I also never fall under pressure.

J: What is your fastest serve?
M: My fastest serve I have clocked was 110 mph.

J: How long have you been playing tennis?
M: I been playing for 11 years.

J: What is your preferred tennis racquet?
M: I prefer the racquet brand Head.

J: Is there anything you do the night before a match to prepare?
M: I always refer to my notes about the match, I make sure my game plan is in order, and I also watch Novak Djokovic or Pete Sampras.

J: Do you prefer to play doubles or singles?
M: I prefer singles because I get a better feel for the game overall.

J: What is the longest match you have ever had?
M: The longest match I had lasted six hours.

M: I love listening to “Right back at it again” by A Day to Remember.

J: Who is your favorite actor/actress?
M: It has to be Kit Harington.

J: What is your favorite vacation that you have been on?
M: My favorite vacations have been Mexico and Vermont.

J: What is your favorite book?
M: My favorite book is the Game of Thrones series.

J: What is your biggest "pet peeve"?
M: It has to be when someone gets a double fault on a serve and fans start cheering.

J: What do you do in your free time?
M: I hang out with friends, fish, and I also like boxing in my free time.

J: If you won the lottery what is the first thing you would buy?
M: I would buy FDU more tennis courts!
