In a busy week that featured five games for the FDU-Florham baseball team, A.J. Pichalski (Iselin, N.J.) tossed a gem on Friday, April 3, in the Devils 2-1 walk off victory over the Manhattanville Valiants. The senior pitcher was a dominant force on the mound, pitching a complete game while striking out a career-high 12 batters for his first win of the season. He did not issue a walk and only surrendered four hits to the Valiants. The one run that scored was not charged to Pichalski as the base runner crossed home plate on an error. After his performance this past week, he was named the Freedom Conference Pitcher of the Week as well as the ECAC South Pitcher of the week.
