This past weekend the FDU-Florham women’s basketball team kicked off the NCAA Tournament with two big wins with the help of junior forward Shalette Brown. The First Team All-Freedom Conference member was stellar right out of the gate against Johnson and Wales University on Friday night, shooting 6-of-7 from the field in the first half. Brown finished the game with a double-double, scoring 24 points and reeling in 15 rebounds in an 84-40 victory over the Wildcats. The following day, Brown continued her dominance on the glass and collected 16 rebounds to go along with eight points in the Devils’ 91-75 win over the University of New England.
