Sophomore guard Alyssa McDonough played a major part in the Devils’ Freedom Conference Tournament run this past week. In the semifinal matchup against Delaware Valley College, McDonough’s game-high 22 points on 7-of-13 shooting lifted the Devils past the Aggies. She connected on three 3-pointers and also reeled in six boards in the 79-49 victory. On Saturday, February 28, the Devils faced off against Eastern University in the championship game and McDonough found her groove in the second half using her crossover dribble to get to the basket. She finished the game with 16 points, five assists and four rebounds to help the Devils claim their third consecutive Freedom Conference Tournament Championship title.
