Marc Mitchell enters his seventh season at the helm of the FDU-Florham Devils Women's Basketball program.
Mitchell is the winningest coach in program history with an overall record of 119-49 (.708). Last season, he navigated the Devils back to the NCAA Tournament for the third season in a row. as the team posted a 29-2 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Elight Eight.
In the 2014-15 season, Mitchell led FDU-Florham to their first NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship and a perfect 33-0 record. The Devils are the first NCAA women’s basketball champions in New Jersey. FDU-Florham defeated Tufts University and Whitman College on March 21st and 22nd at the Final Four in Stevens Point Wisconsin to claim the title.
On the 2012-13 campaign, he led the Devils to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance after going 24-4 and leading the Devils to a Middle Atlantic Conference Championship. Mitchell was also named Freedom Conference Coach of the Year last season, his fourth with the Devils.
Before coming to FDU, Mitchell was the top assistant at Caldwell College in 2008-09. He spent 2007-08 as an assistant coach at New Jersey City University and the three previous seasons as the Head Girl's Basketball Coach at Elizabeth High School. While at Elizabeth, he led the squad to the County Semifinals in 2005 and to the State Tournament all three years.
He graduated from Kean University in 2000 with a degree in History and earned his Master's Degree in Education from American Intercontinental in 2008.
Mitchell currently resides in Elizabeth with his wife, Winsome, his two daughters, Amira and Jade, and his twin sons, Jemal and Jalen.Â

Jessica Cavaco enters her seventh season on the FDU bench alongside Head Coach Marc Mitchell.

Cavaco has appeared in five NCAA appearances consecutively since 2012-13. In the 2013-14 season, she assisted FDU-Florham to their first NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship and a perfect 33-0 record. The Devils are the first NCAA Women’s Basketball Champions in New Jersey. Cavaco has also contributed to five MAC conference championships

Cavaco earned her MA in Sports Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology from Kean University. She played for Devils Head Coach Marc Mitchell at Elizabeth High school and is currently a supervisor for the State of NJ – Judiciary.Â

Quiana Porter

Quiana Porter enters her second season as an assistant women's basketball coach with the Devils, working primarily with the forwards and centers.Â
In her first season as an assistant, she helped FDU-Florham claim their fifth consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom title, also earning her first trip to the NCAA tournament.
Porter earned her undergraduate degree in communications and a minor in business management from Saint Peters University. She was four-year basketball player while at Saint Peters, earning accolades as one of the top offensive rebounders in the MAAC Conference during her time there.
After college she expanded her playing career overseas in Lausanne, Switzerland, playing professionally for a season.
Porter played for Devils Head Coach Marc Mitchell at Elizabeth High School.
