ROCHESTER, NY - The second-seeded College at Florham Devils were defeated by top-seeded St. John Fisher, 18-6, in the Finals of the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament on Sunday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils finished their season with a record of 13-7 while Fisher improved to 13-5.
It was a back-and-forth affair to start the game, as the two squads were tied at 3-3 with 22:43 left in the first half. Fisher then scored five of the last seven goals of the half, including a tally with 0:01 left on the clock, to grab an 8-5 halftime advantage.
Fisher really put the game away to start the second half, as they reeled off nine straight goals to take a 17-5 lead with 10:14 left in the game. Each squad scored a goal in the final ten minutes but by that time the damage was done.
