Turner spent four years as a student-athlete for the FDU Devils football team from 2015-2018. During his tenure, he became the program's all-time leader in solo tackles with 227 and is second all-time in total tackles with 427 in his career. Isaiah holds the single-game record for tackles in a game with 20 in 2017 and ranks second (139) and third (135) in tackles in a season and ranks second 65) and tied for fourth (61) in solo tackles in a season. He also collected a career mark of 35.5 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, five interceptions, eight pass breakups, eight forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked kick during his playing career.
His senior season, he was an AFCA and D3Football.com All-American, D3football.com First Team All-Region, First Team All-MAC Freedom and two-time ECAC Defensive Player of the Month honoree. Turner also earned All-MAL Freedom Second Team and Honorable Mention honors during his career as well as earning off the field accolades such as two COSIDA Academic All-District and NFF Scholar Athlete Awards.
