       Frank Mayo was an outstanding wrestler at FDU from 1978 to 1982. In his first year, Mayo placed sixth in the Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship and was selected Rookie of the Year. During his sophomore year, Mayo posted an impressive 12-0-1 record in dual meets and placed second in the Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship. He was the first FDU wrestler to qualify for the NCAA Division III Tournament and placed 12th in the nation. In 1980, 1981, and 1982 Mayo was selected as the Most Valuable Player for wrestling. During his junior year, Mayo again posted an incredible dual meet record of 12 and 2. He placed third in the Mid-Atlantic Conference Championship and again qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament. Today, Frank is married to Lisa Tice Mayo. The two have a daughter, Isabella Nicole Mayo.
