October 19, 2006 GRANVILLE, HORN NAMED TO FREEDOM SECOND TEAM ANNVILLE, PA - Freshmen Amanda Granville (Hawley, PA/Wallenpanpack Area) and Jill Horn (Narbeth, PA/William Penn Charter) have been named second team All-Freedom Conference on Thursday morning. The two freshmen led the Devils to the brink of the playoffs, but tiebreakers kept the Devils from competing in the postseason. Horn was 8-1 playing in second singles, winning her first seven matches of the season, with her lone loss coming in the second-to-last match of the season. She was also 7-2 playing in first doubles for the Devils, winning her first five decisions before a loss. On the season, Granville played mostly third and fourth singles and finished with a record of 10-2. She won her first eight singles matches in a row before losing a three-set heartbreaker.
