DEVILS FINISH 31ST AT NCAA TOURNAMENT

 

ATLANTA, GA – The College at Florham Devils finished 31st out of 35 teams and missed the cut at the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday afternoon.  As a team, FDU shot a 344 on the second day.

 

Junior Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) led FDU by shooting a 78 while junior Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) and senior Mike Soukup (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) shot an 84 and an 89, respectively.

DEVILS SHOOT 332 ON FIRST DAY OF NCAA TOURNAMENT

 

ATLANTA, GA – The College at Florham Devils shot a 332 on the first day of the NCAA Tournament, good for 27th out of the 35 teams competing.  The Devils will resume play in round two on Wednesday morning.

 

Junior Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) led FDU with a 79 while junior Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) and senior Mike Soukup (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) shot an 82 and an 83, respectively.

 

The Devils return to action on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, for the second day of the NCAA Tournament beginning at 7 am.

THREE-PEAT COMPLETE AS DEVILS WIN ANOTHER FREEDOM CROWN

 

HERSHEY, PA – The College at Florham Devils earned their third straight Freedom Conference Tournament title on Sunday afternoon by shooting a 664, which was one shot better than the 665 put up by Manhattanville.

 

Junior Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) was named Freedom Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive season on the second playoff hole after shooting a 161.  Junior Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) was right behind him, shooting a 162.  Both Stockley and Walsh were also named First Team All-Freedom Conference while Head Coach Roger Kindel was named Freedom Conference Coach of the Year.

 

The Devils return to action on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the NCAA Tournament held in Georgia.

DEVILS CRUISE BY DESALES, 325-354

 

MADISON, NJ – The College at Florham Devils defeated DeSales, 325-354, in their last match before the Freedom Conference Tournament this weekend.

 

With the win, the Devils improved to 10-3.

 

Junior Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) led the way with a match-low 74 while junior Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) fired an 81.

 

The Devils return to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, 2008, at the Freedom Conference Tournament hosted by Delaware Valley beginning at 7 am.

MADISON, NJ – The College at Florham Devils knocked off Delaware Valley, 327-342, but lost to Albright, 316-327, on Monday afternoon at the Morris County Golf Club.

 

With the split, the Devils are now 9-3.

 

Sophomore Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) and freshman Rob Adamski (Oyster Bay, NY/Holy Trinity) each shot a match-low 78 for FDU.  Senior Mike Soukup (Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) fired an 84.

 

The Devils return to action on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at home against DeSales beginning at 1 pm.

ELVERSON, PA – The College at Florham Devils knocked off Ursinus, 318-333, and DeSales, 318-349, before losing to Moravian, 312-318, on Tuesday afternoon.

 

With the wins, the Devils improved to 8-2.

 

Junior Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) led the Devils with a match-low 76.  Junior Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) and freshman Rob Adamski (Oyster Bay, NY/Holy Trinity) each shot an 80.

MADISON, NJ – The College at Florham Devils knocked off Yeshiva, 300-343, and Stevens, 300-345, on Monday afternoon at the Morris County Golf Club.

 

With the wins, the Devils improved to 6-1.

 

The Devils had four players shoot under 80 led by junior Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South), who shot a 72.  Junior Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) shot a 75, sophomore Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) put up a 76 and senior Mike Soukup (Pennsuaken, NJ/Pennsauken) notched a 77.

 

The Devils return to action on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Ursinus with Moravian and DeSales beginning at 1 pm.

SCRANTON, PA – The College at Florham Devils knocked off Wilkes, 321-322, and Scranton, 321-325, on Friday afternoon.  Junior Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) shot a team-low 76.

 

With the win, the Devils improved to 4-1.

DEVILS TAKE FIRST AT STEVENS TOURNAMENT

 

NESHANIC STATION, NJ – The College at Florham Devils won their first tournament of the season, posting a team score of 329 to win the Stevens Tournament on Friday afternoon.

 

Junior Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) led the way for FDU, shooting a tournament-low 77.  Junior Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) and sophomore Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) shot an 81 and an 83, respectively.

 

The Devils return to action on Monday, March 31, 2008, at home against Centenary beginning at 1 pm.

DEVILS FINISH UP AT NCAA TOURNAMENT

 

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The College at Florham Devils shot a 721 as a team to miss the cut at the Division III NCAA Tournament on Wednesday afternoon.  FDU shot a 361 the first day while putting up a 360 on Day Two.

 

Sophomore Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) led the way with a 91 and an 83 for a two-day score of 174.  Sophomore Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) shot a 91 and an 84 for a score of 175.  Freshman Dennis Kimble (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan) shot a 185 while junior Steve Gough (Matawan, NJ/St. Joseph’s Metuchen) and freshman Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) each put up a 191.

STOCKLEY LEADS DEVILS TO BACK-TO-BACK FREEDOM CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

SHAWNEE-ON-DELAWARE, PA – Sophomore Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) shot a tournament low 219, and was named Freedom Conference Player of the Year, to lead the College at Florham Devils to their second consecutive Freedom Conference Golf Championship.  The Devils finished with a team score of 949 while runner-up Scranton shot a 958.

 

Sophomore Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) shot a 233, was named Freedom Conference Rookie of the Year and joined Stockley on the First Team All-Freedom Conference squad.  Freshman Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) put a 240 and earned Second Team All-Freedom Conference honors.  Head Coach Roger Kindel was named Freedom Conference Coach of the Year for the second straight year.

 

The Devils return to action in the NCAA Tournament at a date, time and place to be determined.

CENTER VALLEY, PA – The College at Florham Devils knocked off DeSales, 332-349, on Wednesday afternoon.  Sophomore Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) led the way with an 80.

 

With the win, the Devils improved to 9-3

 

Junior Steve Gough (Matawan, NJ/St. Joseph’s Metuchen) shot an 81 while sophomore Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) fired an 85.  Freshman Dennis Kimble (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan) shot an 86 while senior Garrett Gilbert (Tinton Falls, NJ/Monmouth Regional) shot an 87.

 

The Devils return to action starting Saturday, April 28, 2007, at the Freedom Conference Playoffs at Shawnee on the Delaware beginning at 7:30 am.

DOYLESTOWN, PA – The College at Florham Devils knocked off Albright, 319-341, but got nipped by Delaware Valley, 316-319, on Tuesday afternoon.  Sophomore Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) led the way with a 75.

 

With the split, the Devils are now 8-3 on the season.

WILKES-BARRE, PA – The College at Florham Devils beat Misercorida, 345-350, but lost to Scranton by a margin of 318-345 on Wednesday afternoon.  Sophomore Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) shot a 75 to lead FDU.

 

With the split, the Devils are now 7-2 on the season.

 

Freshman Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) put up an 83 while freshman Dennis Kimble (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan) shot an 84.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The College at Florham Devils beat Haverford, 341-353, but lost to Widener by a score of 321-341 on Monday afternoon.  Sophomore Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) led the way with an 80.

 

Freshman Dennis Kimble (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan) shot an 83 while sophomore Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) put up an 86.  Freshman Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) and senior Steve Kimble (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan) shot 92 and 99, respectively.

DEVILS PLACE SECOND AT MORAVIAN INVITATIONAL

 

BETHLEHEM, PA – The College at Florham Devils placed second at the 20-team Moravian Invitational on Thursday afternoon.  The team score of 324 put the Devils five shots behind Keystone College (319).

 

FDU was led by sophomore Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham) and freshmen Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) and Dennis Kimble (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan).  Each of the three shot an 80.  Sophomore Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middleown South) put up an 84 while junior Steve Gough (Matawan, NJ/St. Joseph’s Metuchen) shot a 90.

HOBOKEN, NJ – The College at Florham Devils opened up their 2007 season by winning the Stevens Invitational on Friday afternoon.  The Devils beat four other teams and are now 4-0.

 

Leading FDU were sophomores Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) and Pat Walsh (Bernardsville, NJ/Chatham), who each shot a 77.  Freshman Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South) shot an 83 while junior Steve Gough (Matawan, NJ/St. Joseph’s Metuchen) and freshman Dennis Kimble (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater Raritan) each shot an 85.

 

The Devils return to action on Monday, April 2, 2007, with their home opener against King’s Point and Centenary beginning at 1 pm.

DEVILS TIE FOR EIGHTH AT LEBANON VALLEY TOURNAMENT

 

LEBANON, PA – The College at Florham Devils shot a combined 321 to finish tied for eighth place at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Golf Tournament on Monday afternoon.  Out of 24 teams, the Devils were 19 shots behind first place winner Keystone.

 

Freshman Paul Williams led the team with a 76 while freshman Conor Walsh and sophomore Greg Stockley shot 80 and 82, respectively.  Freshman Dennis Kimble shot 83 while his brother, senior Steve Kimble, finished with an 84.

DEVILS FINISH TIED FOR SIXTH IN MORAVIAN FALL INVITATIONAL

 

BATH, PA – The College at Florham Devils shot a 311 as a team and finished tied for sixth place, with conference rival Delaware Valley, in the Moravian College Fall Golf Invitational.  In the 20 team tournament, the Devils score was 15 shots behind first place winner Susquehanna.

 

Freshmen Dennis Kimble and Conor Walsh each shot a 76 to pace the Devils.  Sophomore Greg Stockley was one shot behind with a 77 while freshman Paul Williams and senior Garrett Gilbert shot an 82 and 86, respectively.

FIVE DEVILS HONORED BY FREEDOM CONFERENCE

 

ANNVILLE, PA – Senior Sameer Khan (Allentown, NJ/Bishop Ahr) was named First Team All-Freedom Conference after his performance in the Conference Tournament.  Khan was one of five Devils cited by the conference.

 

Senior Jack Egan (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood), sophomore Steve Gough (Matawan, NJ/St. Joseph’s Metuchen) and freshman Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) were named Second Team All-Freedom Conference.

 

Coach Roger Kindel was named Freedom Conference Coach of the Year after guiding the Devils to the Freedom Conference Championship.

KHAN LEADS DEVILS TO FREEDOM CONFERENCE TITLE

 

DELAWARE – Senior Sameer Khan (Allentown, NJ/Bishop Ahr) shot a 229 to come in second place overall and lead the College at Florham Devils to the 2006 Freedom Conference team title.  As a team the Devils shot a 956 to edge out Delaware Valley, who shot a 960.   Freshman Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) tied for seventh place, shooting a 241, while senior Jack Egan (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) fired a 242 and finished in ninth place.  Sophomore Steve Gough (Matawan, NJ/St. Joseph’s Metuchen) finished in 10th place with a 243.

READING, PA – The College at Florham Devils dropped their season finale to Albright, 315-329, on Monday afternoon.  With the loss, the Devils record dropped to 8-4.  Freshman Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) led the way for the Devils, shooting a 78.  Senior Sameer Khan (Allentown, NJ/Bishop Ahr) fired an 80 while senior Jack Egan (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) put up an 83.

 

The Devils return to action on Saturday, April 29, when they play in the Middle Atlantic Conference Tournament at Shawnee on the Delaware beginning at 7:30 am.

DOYLESTOWN, PA – The College at Florham Devils knocked off Ursinus (319-352) but lost to Delaware Valley (313-319) on Tuesday afternoon.  With the split, the Devils record now stands at 8-3.  Senior Sameer Khan (Allentown, NJ/Bishop Ahr) shot a match-low 74 to pace the Devils.  Senior Jack Egan (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) fired an 80 while freshman Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) turned in an 81.

 

FDU returns to action on Monday, April 24, at Albright with Delaware Valley beginning at 1 pm.  It is the last match of the regular season for FDU.

MADISON, NJ – Senior Sameer Khan (Allentown, NJ/Bishop Ahr) shot a match-low 77 to lead the College at Florham Devils past Stevens, 329-357, on Monday afternoon.  With the win, the Devils improved to 7-2 on the season.  Freshman Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) fired and 82 while senior Jon Glickman (Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ/Northern Highlands Regional) shot an 84.

DELAWARE – The College at Florham Devils recorded an 8th place finish out of13 schools on Thursday afternoon at the Tom Ruggieri Invitational.  Senior Sameer Khan (Allentown, NJ/Bishop Ahr) shot a 75 to pace the Devils while freshman Greg Stockley (Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South) fired an 81.
