This is the seventh appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the Knights and their first since 2011. Geneseo advanced to the Sweet 16 with victories against Castleton (84-40) and Muhlenberg (69-54) in the first two rounds of this year's tournament.

The Knights are led by head coach Scott Hemer, who is in his eighth season with the team and is the second winningest coach in the program's history.

SUNYAC Player of the Year, senior forward Shannon McGinnis leads the charge for the Knights. McGinnis averaged 15.6 points and 11.2 rebounds per game this season. Her work on the glass has been a key reason for Geneseo's +10.4 rebounding margin, which ranks 14th in the country. Additionally, McGinnis is 18th in the nation in double-doubles after compiling 18 on the campaign, and totaled 20 points in the Knights' win over Muhlenberg on Saturday.

In addition to McGinnis, Junior forward Allison McKenna, a first-team all-conference selection, averages 12.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while junior guard Dana Cohan, an All SUNYAC Second-Team honoree, is tallying 10.6 points and 3.5 assists per outing.

The Knights do an excellent job of keeping the opposition off of the offensive glass and are ranked 27th in defensive rebounds per game at 30.

The Devils have done well thus far to defend their 2014 title, pulling out two comfortable victories in the tournament's opening rounds. In their first round game, the Devils handled Johnson and Wales University 84-40 and then topped University of New England 91-75 on Saturday night.

This is the third NCAA Tournament appearance for the Devils who are 8-1 in their tournament history. The three-straight trips have all come under the direction of head coach Marc Mitchell. Mitchell, the reigning WBCA Coach of the Year, is the winningest coach in program history with an overall record of 118-48 (.711). FDU-Florham edged Tufts last season in the 42-39 national semi-final game in Stevens Point, Wisc.

After Shalette Brown (Somerset, N.J.) went off for 24 points and 15 rebounds in the win over the Wildcats, it was sophomore guard Alyssa McDonough (Parlin, N.J.) who led the team on Saturday and narrowly missed a triple-double with 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. Brown and McDonough are the Devils' top-two scorers this season at 13.4 points and 12.7 points per game, respectively. In addition, Brown has etched her name in the FDU-Florham record books this season by hauling in 318 rebounds, which is a single-season record.

All-Freedom Conference First Team selection Kyra Dayon (Trenton, N.J.) has continued her ascent to the top of several FDU-Florham career marks this season and is currently second all-time in points (1,758), first in steals (327) and fourth in assists (317). In addition, Dayon needs just two rebounds to be the school's all-time leading rebounder (851) and six field goals (682) to claim the program's top spot.

Seniors Leigh-Ann Lively (Bangor, Pa.) and Kara Dayon (Trenton, N.J.) have aided the Devils' 84.4 points per game, which ranks fourth in the nation, by lighting it up from long-range. The duo, who are first and second all-time in 3-pointers, have combined for 122 treys this season. The Devils average 9.0 3-pointers per game as a team, which is the third highest rate in the country.

Defensively, the Devils' turnover margin sits at +11.85, which is second nationally and can be attributed to the team's 15 steals per game (4th overall).
