ANNVILLE, Pa. – After helping lead the Devils to a 2-0 start and capturing the Most Outstanding Player Award at the Dan Greene Memorial Invitational this weekend, senior forward Shalette Brown was named MAC Freedom Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Brown averaged 12 points and 12 rebounds as the ninth-ranked Devils (2-0) swept the two-game weekend at St. Mary's College of Maryland.

In the team's 49-41 season-opening win over York College (N.Y.), Brown was a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The preseason All-American followed that performance with a 10-point, 12-rebound effort in just 23 minutes as the Devils routed the host Seahawks 99-55 on Saturday.

The Devils return to action this Tuesday, November 17 when they travel to Hackettstown, N.J. to take on Centenary College at 7 p.m.
