MADISON, NJ - After posting one of the best individual seasons in College at Florham baseball history, sophomore shortstop
Steve Seminerio (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) was named First Team NJBCA All-State and Second Team ABCA All-Mid Atlantic Region. He is also now all over the FDU record books.
Seminerio is now first All-Time in single-season hits (72), first All-Time in single-season runs scored (70), tied for first All-Time in single-season triples (7), second All-Time in single-season doubles (16), second All-Time in single-season home runs (8), and tied for second All-Time in single-season stolen bases (23).
Numerous other Devils also made their way into the record book in 2010. Senior designated hitter
Greg Geran (Brick, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) is tied for fourth All-Time in career batting average (.369), tied for fourth in career home runs (12), and fourth in single-season RBI (49). Junior outfielder
Alex Sariyan (Oakland, NJ/Indian Hills) and sophomore first baseman
Ryan Fandel (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) are both tied for third All-Time in single-season home runs (7) while senior third baseman
Joey Santillo (Budd Lake, NJ/Mt. Olive) is second All-Time in career home runs (14). Senior catcher
Marc Hubbert (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Boro) is now second All-Time in single-season walk (33).
While it is obvious that the Devils had a fantastic season at the plate, FDU was also stellar on the mound in 2010. Junior pitcher
Brandon Smith (Burlington, NJ/Pennington Prep) and sophomore pitcher
Glenn Cox (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) are tied for second All-Time in single-season wins (7) while sophomore pitcher
Chris Laudati (Kenilworth, NJ/David Brearly) is tied for third All-Time in single-season appearances (16). The career appearance record was a hotly contested battle between senior pitchers
Adam Garry (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Boro) and
Bill Buckless (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee). Garry broke the previous record of 53 career appearances in the middle of the season but it was Buckless who finished the season as the leader with 57, just one ahead of Garry.
