ANNVILLE, PA - Senior goalkeeper Alex Kajencki (Medfield, MA/Xaverian) was named Middle Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon after leading the Devils to two wins last week.

He started the week on Tuesday by making 12 saves to lead the Devils over Eastern, 11-4, in a win that clinched the second seed in the MAC Tournament.  Kajencki came up big for FDU in the early part of the game, as he didn't allow a goal until the late stages of the second quarter but by that time the Devils had already built a 7-0 lead.  On Saturday in a 15-4 win at Lebanon Valley, he played the first half and only allowed one goal while making four saves.

On the season, he has 121 saves and a 7.05 goals against average.  Nationally, he ranks 34th in goals against average and 93rd in save percentage.
