HERSHEY, PA - The College at Florham Devils entered the 2010 Freedom Conference Tournament having won the previous four and making appearances in the last three NCAA Tournaments, but a fifth straight title was not to be as FDU finished third with a team score of 664. Manhattanville won the tournament with a score of 606.
The Devils were led by their two newcomers, junior
John Cruz (Boonton, NJ/Mountain Lakes) and freshman
Shamus Lahman (Galloway, NJ/Absegami). Cruz finished ninth overall by shooting a 79 on Saturday and an 82 on Sunday for a score of 161 while Lahman placed 10th with scores of 86 and 78 for an overall total of 164. Seniors
Conor Walsh (Lincroft, NJ/Middletown South),
Dennis Kimble (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) and
Nick Lamberti (Madison, NJ/Madison) posted 170, 173, and 174, respectively.
By finishing ninth and tenth overall, both Cruz and Lahman were named Second Team All-Freedom Conference.
