Jason Fluss (Farmingdale, NY/Sachem) were named First Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference on Tuesday afternoon while freshman midfielder
Brian Gill (Levittown, NY/East Meadow) was named MAC Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Conference.
Joining Gill on the Second Team were senior goalkeeper
Alex Kajencki (Medfield, MA/Xaverian), senior defender
Nick Fernicola (Levittown, NY/Division) and sophomore midfielder
Pat O'Brien (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central). Sophomore midfielder
Paul Colflesh (Moorestown, NJ/Holy Cross) was named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
Shadiack, a First Team selection in 2009, led the Devils with 33 goals and three game-winning goals while ranking second in points with 39. In the conference, he was sixth in goals per game (2.06), tied four fourth in game-winning goals, seventh in shots per game (6.88), and tied for second in man-down goals (3). Nationally, he is 134th in goals per game.
Novack was the team-leader in caused turnovers with 30, 14 more than the next best Devil, while also ranking second in ground balls with 43. He was also named to the First Team in 2009.
Fluss is an All-Conference selection for the first time after being considered one of the best defenders in the MAC. He was second on the team in caused turnovers with 16 and fifth in ground balls with 25.
Gill had an outstanding first season for FDU, leading the team in points with 46 while finishing tied for first in assists with 15. He was also second in goals with 33 and first in man-up goals with seven. In the conference, he was fifth in goals per game (2.07), tied for eighth in assists per game (1.00), sixth in points per game (3.07), and third in man-up goals. Nationally, he is 132nd in goals per game, 138th in points per game and 186th in assists per game.
Kajencki was named MAC Player of the Year in 2009 and followed it up with another stellar season in 2010. He finished with 135 saves, a 7.04 goals against average and a .549 save percentage. In the confernece among goalies who played more than 10 games, he ranked third in goals against average. Nationally, he is 18th in goals against average and 73rd in save percentage.
Fernicola was selected to the All-Conference team for the first time after ranking third on the team in caused turnovers with 11 while helping the Devils have 26 fewer goals allowed than their opponents in 2010.
O'Brien, a first time selection, was third on the squad with 18 goals and tied for third with 25 points while scoring twice on the man-up and twice on the man-down.
Colflesh picked up Honorable Mention honors after tallying nine goals, six assists and 15 points.
