ANNVILLE, PA - Junior pitcher Brandon Smith (Burlington, NJ/Pennington Prep) was named Freedom Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon after tossing a four-hitter in a 2-1 win over King's on Saturday afternoon.

In the first game of a doubleheader, Smith tossed a complete game seven innings and allowed one unearned run on four hits while striking out two.  With the win, the Devils were assured one of the top two seeds in the upcoming Freedom Conference Tournament.

On the season, Smith is a team-best 6-1 and leads all FDU starting pitchers with a 3.35 ERA.  He has 39 strikeouts in 45.2 innings pitched.
