CENTERVILLE, MA - Senior goalkeeper Alex Kajencki (Medfield, MA/Xaverian) was named ECAC Metro/South Region Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon after previously earning Middle Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday.

Kajencki started the week on Wednesday at Widener, where he allowed four goals and made eight saves in a crucial 5-4 (OT) road victory.  His biggest save of the night might have come in the last seconds of regulation when Widener got a shot off that would have been the game-winner.  He wrapped up the week on Saturday when he allowed seven goals and made seven saves in a 9-7 win against Messiah.  On the week, he had a 5.43 goals against average and a .577 save percentage.

On the season, Kajencki is 7-4 with 7.94 goals against average and a .520 save percentage.
