ANNVILLE, PA - Senior goalkeeper Alex Kajencki (Medfield, MA/Xaverian) was named Middle Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon after posting two conference wins in goal last week.

On Wednesday at Widener, Kajencki allowed four goals and made eight saves in a crucial 5-4 (OT) road victory.  His biggest save of the night might have come in the last seconds of regulation when Widener got a shot off that would have been the game-winner.  He wrapped up the week on Saturday when he allowed seven goals and made seven saves in a 9-7 win against Messiah.  On the week, he had a 5.43 goals against average and a .577 save percentage.

On the season, Kajencki is 7-4 with 7.94 goals against average and a .520 save percentage.
