DOYLESTOWN, PA - With the score tied at 17-17 and 10:50 left in the first half, Delaware Valley went on a 26-8 run to close the first half with a 43-25 lead on their way to a 78-61 win over the College at Florham Devils in Freedom Conference action on Wednesday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 1-18 (0-9 Freedom) while the Aggies improved to 10-9 (4-5 Freedom).

The two teams went back-and-forth for the first ten minutes of the first stanza as junior center Ricky Fetske (Galloway, NJ/Absegami) poured in seven points for FDU.  After senior forward Andrew Biancosino (Edison, NJ/JP Stevens) tied the game at 17-17, the Aggies went on their half-closing run to take command of the game.

The Devils cut the deficit to 11 points, 58-47, with 9:30 left in the game but were never able to get over the hump to get the game into single digits as Delaware Valley hit their free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win.

Fetske led FDU with 15 points while sophomore guard Adam Katz (Wharton, NJ/Morris Hills) finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at home with Alumni Day against King’s beginning at 3 pm.  The Alumni Game begins at 10:30 am.
