MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by DeSales, 75-53, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 7-8 (2-3 Freedom) while the Bulldogs improved to 6-8 (2-3 Freedom).
FDU jumped out to a 9-5 advantage before the Bulldogs went on a 29-7 run to take a 34-16 lead with 5:33 left in the first half. The Devils cut it to 34-20 but DeSales took a 38-22 lead into halftime.
The Devils cut the DeSales lead to 10 points on four different occasions in the first ten minutes of the second half but the Bulldogs would not allow them to get any closer as they increased their lead for the remainder of the game on their way to the win.
Junior forward Shealyn Taggart (Atlantic Highlands, NJ/Middletown South) led the Devils with 21 points while senior forward Danielle Michlovsky (Wind Gap, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore center Meghan Lentine (Hazlet, NJ/Raritan) pulled down 10 boards.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Eastern beginning at 6 pm.
