DEVILS KNOCKED OFF BY VASSAR IN SEASON OPENER, 3-0

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Vassar, 3-0, in their season opener on Wednesday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 0-1.
Vassar got on the board just 5:05 into the game but FDU settled down and played them even for the remainder of the first half. The Devils held their own for the first fifteen minutes of the second half as well before Vassar made it 2-0 and then 3-0 with 14:49 left to play in the game.
Junior goalkeeper Kevin Herbert (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) made nine saves in goal to pick up the win.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, September 5, 2009, in the Ramapo Tournament against Berkeley College beginning at 3 pm.
