JERSEY CITY, NJ - The College at Florham Devils beat City Tech, 4-1, in non-conference action on the first day of the New Jersey City Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 3-2.
FDU opened up the scoring at the 33:16 mark when freshman midfielder
Manny Almeida (Elizabeth, NJ/Union Catholic) found the back of the net. Junior midfielder
Matt Kinsley (Pearl River, NY/Pearl River) made it 2-0just 0:57 later and freshman midfielder
Joshua Corpuz (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) gave the Devils a 3-0 advantage just 1:11 into the second half. Freshman defender
Nick Maccarrone (Garfield, NJ/Paramus Catholic) finished off the scoring for FDU in the 68th minute. City Tech scored a goal in the 83rd minute to spoil the shutout.

The Devils return to action on Sunday, September 13, 2009, on the second and final day of the tournament against Staten Island beginning at noon.
