WILKES-BARRE, PA – The College at Florham Devils women's swim team finished sixth out of 10 teams with 193 points at the MASCAC Swimming Championships this weekend. The men's team finished 10th with a score of 43 points.
WOMEN – The ladies were led by freshmen Luci DiMaggio (West Allenhurst, NJ/Ocean) and Elizabeth Hilzen (Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock). DiMaggio finished fourth in the 500 free (5:29.40) and fifth in both the 1650 free (19:05.11) and the 200 breast (2:36.25) while Hilzen placed eighth in the 200 IM (2:26.16) and ninth in the 400 IM (5:11.80).
MEN – The men were once again led by junior Peter Milazzo (Lewisburg, PA/Audubon). Milazzo medaled by finishing third in the 500 free (4:57.72) and he also finished fourth in the 1650 free (17:15.49) and seventh in the 400 IM (4:30.16).
Overall at the event, 19 school records were broken by the team with four coming on the men's side and 15 on the women's side. The Devils also compiled three Top 16 finishes on the men's team and 13 Top 16 finishes on the women's squad. The women recorded their highest ever point total (163) and finish (6th) at the MASCAC Championships.
